Debbie has been a Trainer on the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support since 2012, and has more than 10 years of experience with implementing them. First, in a Family Resource Center in East County San Diego as a part of the California Family Strengthening Network, and later in a school-based Family Resource Center in Davis County, Utah as the Standards were adopted by the National Family Support Network.
As an FRC Director and Supervisor of Family Service Workers and Family Supporting Programs, Debbie has used the Standards as a key aspect in coordination of trauma informed practice. She has cross walked the Standards with the guidelines of Trauma Informed Practice as well as the Social Determinants of Health.
She has supported the development of and served in leadership roles with the Family Support Networks in both California and Utah.
Debbie has a M.A. in Social Work from San Diego State. She is married, has 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys riding wave runners, which is about as wild as she can safely get.
